I came to counselling relatively late in my life.  What this means is that I had a whole lot of experience before I trained and became a 'professional', trying to navigate all the challenges and storms that life can throw at us.

I have also been in the client chair more than once in my life, during my training of course but in the years beforehand too.  I really understand what it feels like to want to talk to someone else, somebody I can trust but is not a friend or a partner or part of my family.   Somebody trained to listen, someone who wouldn't judge me but rather give me the space to try and explore and express difficult things.  There are times when it can be really difficult to get on with life when we are troubled but unsure as to what to do about it or how to change it .  My  experience as a client has helped me enormously. and I wouldn't be where I am today without it.

I have a CPCAB Diploma in Integrative Counselling.  I have worked with clients who have experienced PTSD & trauma, depression and anxiety.  I have worked with clients who have English as their first language but I have also worked with refugees and asylum  seekers.

I am developing my practice in the fields of PTSD & Trauma and Inner Child work

person centrered, gestalt, inner child, wounded child, trauma, depression, anxiety
